Practical Details & Travel

Travelling to Luang Prabang from the UK is most commonly done via Bangkok or other major Asian hubs such as Doha, Singapore, or Dubai. From London Heathrow and Gatwick, you can fly to Bangkok with airlines such as Thai Airways, British Airways (to Bangkok only), and EVA Air (via Taipei). From Manchester and Edinburgh, flights typically require at least one connection en route.

We recommend using flight comparison sites such as Skyscanner, Kayak, Momondo, or Google Flights to explore the best options, and booking directly with the airline where possible for added security.

If travelling from within Southeast Asia, direct flights are available from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel is approximately a 20-minute drive from Luang Prabang International Airport. Further arrival details and transfer guidance will be shared with you ahead of the retreat.

Check-in at the hotel is from the afternoon of arrival day, allowing time to settle in gently. We will share full arrival details with you ahead of the retreat so your journey feels simple and supported from the moment you land.

Practical Details & What to Expect

Joining the retreat
Many guests join retreats solo, and you will be warmly welcomed into the group.

Yoga & practice
All practices are guided with options, making them suitable for a range of experience levels. There is no pressure to do everything—this is your time to rest, explore and move in a way that feels right for you.

Mats & props
As the hotel does not provide yoga mats or props, we invite you to bring your own if you’re able. We understand you may be travelling light, so we are also exploring options locally and will share any updates with you ahead of the retreat.

It is recommended that you have a look at directions before leaving your home. Sometimes in car navigation/sat nav does not work all the way across the moors and it may be helpful to use your phone with google maps. In the winter it is highly recommended to avoid chimney bank (a very steep hill).
