Join us to take a look at how peri-menopause/menopause can affect training and a few key ways to work with the changes rather than against it.
Join us to take a look at how menopause matters when it comes to fitness and training. This session is designed for you, whether you love a parkrun distance, train for ultras, head to the gym or simply enjoy staying active.
A welcome discussion will give insights to stages of the menopause, how this can affect our physiology and psychology. We will then listen and participate in a talk with Karen Weir who will discuss how peri-menopause and onwards can affect our training and offer ways to work with the changes rather than against them to create a sustainable and enjoyable way of staying active.
A yoga session for rest and recovery will be delivered by Emma to offer a sense of ease and look at how it can support the training we wish to keep doing.
– Are you a woman 35+ or/and experiencing menopausal symptoms? (Please note that all women are welcome no matter age or stage of life.)
– Are you noticing your enthusiasm waning for your favourite activities such as running, strength training or heading to the gym?
– Have the reasons why you exercise changed and evolved and also which activities you are drawn towards?
– Have you noticed rest is a much bigger part of recovery now and needed a little bit more?
Then join us for this brilliant session to keep investing in yourself and your future health!
